Q. We are considering assisted living for my father in the not so distant future. He doesn’t quite need a nursing home yet, but he certainly needs more help than we can provide in the home. Although assisted living is not as expensive as nursing home care, it’s still quite expensive. I understand that she can plan for nursing home care with your firm, but is there a way to plan for the costs of
assisted living?

I saw in our community newsletter that our neighborhood is considering becoming a NORC. We have a large population of seniors and various resources to help with transportation, meals, home care and more. What is being a NORC all about? Isn’t it just people aging in place?
